Keenmor Golden Retrievers is pleased to announce the planned breeding of Ninja to Dash. Ninja is due to come into season sometime between mid-September to mid-November 2024, with the pups going home late Spring 2025. This litter will be whelped in my home, near Ladysmith, Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
Ninja comes from an accomplished bitch line, as well as an impressive paternal side. She is a strong working girl, with a good on/off switch. At 22 inches tall and 64 pounds, she is balanced, structurally correct and physically sound. She has a full dentition and no allergies. Ninja is a quick learner. At four years old, she has her Utility Dog title (Canadian OTCH) and is well over halfway to her MOTCH title. She currently has 19 CKC Master Hunter passes and 530 HRC Points. In 2021, she was #3 Junior (Derby) Field Trial Dog in Canada. Ninja is a strong water dog, fast on land and she is steady and quiet on the line. She loves to hunt pheasants, and points before she flushes. She is up to play any game I ask of her and is quiet and relaxed in the house.
Dash is a young, dynamic Golden Retriever with a very promising future. I have witnessed his biddability and talent firsthand. He has natural focus and his very birdy. He is an excellent marker, a willing partner while running blind retrieves and has a powerful water entry. Dash stands 22 inches tall and weighs 57 pounds. He is structurally correct with a balanced, athletic build. Dash has dark eyes and pigment, no allergies and a full dentition. Dash is showing great aptitude for competitive obedience as well.
This will be Ninja’s first litter. I am very excited by the combination of Dash with her. We expect structurally correct, biddable working dogs, that will be a joy to train and live with. Puppies should arrive in the New Year, going to their homes in late Spring of 2025. Priority will be given to working homes, but active pet homes may be considered. These pups will need a job!
Before I go on, I must acknowledge and thank Laureen and Joanne Kinney, for allowing me to breed four litters with them (from 2012 to 2020), under the Zaniri pre-fix. Thank you so much for your mentorship, guidance and friendship, as well as your support of me going out on my own, breeding under the Keenmor Prefix.
Puppies will be whelped and raised in our in our home, near Ladysmith, BC. They will undergo Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) from days 3 to 16, as well as Early Scent Introduction (ESI), including birds and feathers. They will be exposed to an enriched environment that will contribute to them being mentally and physically strong, as well as brave. Indoors, they will be exposed to stimulating toys and obstacles, a variety of noises and people. Weather permitting, they will experience the outdoors on our five acres property, in the way of forest walks and outside play time, and hopefully an introduction to water. At about six weeks, they will be exposed to live birds. Before they go to their new homes, they will have experienced regular nail trimming, be taken for cars rides, have spent time in a crate and been introduced to a variety of people.
Before leaving to their new homes at eight weeks, the puppies will be dewormed and have their first vaccination, based on the schedule indicated by Ninja’s nomographs. For more information on nomographs, see https://www.vetmed.wisc.edu/lab/cavids/canine-nomograph-what-is-it/
Puppies come with a limited health warranty, a contract and lifelong breeder support. We do not sell to professional field trainers or to brood bitch homes. Inquiries from working and active pet homes are welcome. These pups will need a job and will not be suited for homes that will not train them and provide them with lots of mentally stimulating activity.
